I read an article earlier today regarding soap dispensers not being as clean as people suspect, although I believe many people are aware of this considering the recent push for touchless soap dispensers. Which lead me to my second thought which was, what other surfaces are not clean that would shock people?
Often overlooked, handles are where germs reside. Have you ever hand-washed the front of your cabinets, but forgot about the handles? How about the handle on your fridge? Or all the doorknobs in your home? Handle on the toilet? And let’s not even address shopping cart handles. One piece of advice: USE the sanitary napkins most stores are providing and wipe these handles clean!
2. Cleaning Equipment
I know this can be surprising, but you have to clean your cleaning equipment. Whether it’s the vacuum being over capacity or down to the toilet bowl cleaner. These things HAVE to be cleaned and sanitized. Think of it as taking a shower in a bathroom that hasn’t been cleaned in months…what’s the point in that?!?
Most people will take the time to clean the refrigerator surface, maybe even remember to clean the handle…but when’s the last time you emptied the shelves and cleaned everything out? The fridge is a hive of unsanitary conditions, whether its items being left out in the open, things ripping and dripping, or even worse. On a monthly basis you should be emptying the shelves and really disinfecting these surfaces thoroughly.
This is why we train the staff thoroughly here at Able Cleaning. You will find that we clean all surfaces, even those most often forgot about, and clean our equipment after every use.
